THE LEADING HOSPITALS

is the first international group of outstanding hospitals from Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands (further countries will follow soon), that depict their medical outcome (activities, quality data, etc.) by the use of a high degree of transparency.

compare and measure themselves in:

• Number of Patients (Number of cases 2007 / 2008)
• Quality criteria of medical key aspects
• H.I.S.-Rating for German hospitals as well as additional approved national and international certifications
• Single medical indications and treatments (more than 150 general treatments with the option of a deeper and more detailed analysis)
• Inpatient stay and many more criteria
• State-of-the-art treatment methods

There is an ongoing development for additional criteria by the “Leading Hospital Organisation” and the medicinal advisory board in order to improve the rating program.
In this respect, the rating program of “The Leading Hospitals” is an ongoing adaptive program which grows dynamically (this program is not exhaustive).
The basis of the rating is the medical data ((§21 KhEntgG for German hospitals) of all participating hospitals for the years 2007-2009. Comparable data of hospitals from the other countries is used as well.

set a great value on the patients opinion. A permanent patients’ survey is coming soon with an ongoing approach and the goal to create a standard survey for all patients and doctors of “The Leading Hospitals”.
