At the Department of Orthopedics, Trauma Surgery and Hand Surgery we treat the entire spectrum of therapy of congenital and acquired diseases of the musculoskeletal system with conservative and surgical procedures. We carry out approximately 6,500 outpatient examinations per year as well as 2,600 inpatient and 400 outpatient operations per year. In addition, there are 4,600 pediatric surgery patients, who are looked after by the assistant physicians of our clinic in the emergency room.
Our broad treatment spectrum and increasing specialization require a division of responsibilities between specially trained physicians. Therefore, our clinic is divided into two areas: orthopedics and trauma surgery. In orthopedics, we treat patients with congenital and wear-related illnesses; These include endoprostheses of the hip, knee, ankle and foot surgery.
