The Thoracic Surgery Clinic is an independent, highly specialized department at the Florence Nightingale Hospital of the Kaiserswerther Diakonie. Experts with many years of extensive experience in the field of lung diseases work here.

We offer the entire spectrum of diagnostics and thoracic thoracic surgery for all inflammatory, benign and malignant diseases of the lung, the bronchi (respiratory tract), the pleura (pleura), the mediastinum (middle-part of the head) and the diaphragm. Whenever possible, we use gentle surgical methods such as minimally invasive "keyhole technique", parenchyma-sparing sleeve resection or segmental resection.

We work closely with pulmonologists, oncologists, psycho-oncologists, radiotherapists and pathologists. The treatment concept is defined in an interdisciplinary tumor conference.
